My Story new
Hi, I’m Michael. My journey into this work didn’t start with a career ambition. It started with personal survival. I grew up in a chaotic household — an alcoholic father, a depressed and anxious mother, and siblings caught up in gangs and addiction. As a teenager, I figured out that movement was how I was going to survive it. It kept me off the streets and helped me manage a depression I didn’t even have words for yet. Movement literally changed the trajectory of my life.
But as I got older and entered the corporate world, I disconnected from that physical intuition. I spent two decades in engineering and aerospace as a mechanical designer. My life was dictated by sitting all day, chasing deadlines, and carrying immense professional pressure. I lived entirely in my head.
From my late 20s, my back started going out regularly. I dealt with a chronically tight lower back and locked hips. I was given all the usual medical explanations and by my early thirties, a doctor seriously recommended spinal surgery. At my absolute worst, I spent nine agonizing months barely able to move. I thought my days of training, surfing, and living an active life were permanently over.
Then I stopped chasing symptoms.
Through my own deep work beginning at the Landmark Forum 25 years ago and eventually studying at the Strozzi Institute & learning the Franklin Method, I realized something profound. When stress hits, your body tightens to protect you. Your core shuts off, and your lower back takes the entire load. I wasn’t carrying a physical defect. I was carrying decades of unprocessed tension and early childhood shaping.
When I finally learned to work through my body instead of around it, my pain vanished. Within weeks, I was back in the gym. I was surfing again. The heaviness I used to carry was completely gone.
Now, my work is dedicated to guiding others to do the exact same thing. I fix the pattern so they can move, perform, and live without their body getting in the way.

The Credentials Behind The Method

My approach is built on a unique synthesis of advanced somatic education, trauma-informed movement, and rigorous biomechanical science. These are not weekend certifications.
My Qualifications
The Franklin Method (Levels 1 & 2)
Trained directly under founder Eric Franklin in Zurich in somatic education, nervous system regulation, and movement imagery. The Franklin Method is used by professional dancers, athletes, and surgeons. It is one of the most rigorous somatic training programs in the world.
The Strozzi Institute
I completed advanced personal and professional study in somatic coaching and embodied leadership. This taught me exactly how the body stores corporate stress and pressure.
25 Years of Personal Development Work
Beginning with the Landmark Forum and spanning two and a half decades of ongoing practice. This is where I learned to help clients identify and release the old narratives their bodies hold. It’s what makes the physical work stick.
Advanced Biomechanics
Studied the core mechanics research of Dr. Stuart McGill and Paul Chek. I understand precisely how the spine, diaphragm, and deep stabilizing muscles work together and how they fail when the nervous system is dysregulated.

The Thinking Behind My Work

I didn’t start this business because I wanted a new career. I started it because I know what it’s like to carry something heavy in your body for a long time and not know why. And I know what it feels like when it finally shifts.
The Mission

Breaking the cycle of pain from the inside out. My mission is simple but very powerful: to help people end the chronic patterns I was stuck in (chronic pain, stress, and tension) by working through the body, not around it. I teach you to listen to your body’s intelligence, rather than simply treating symptoms.

Philosophy

My philosophy is a practice where driven, high-performing people (in any role) no longer override their body's signals. They regain trust in themselves under pressure, return to the activities they love (golf, surfing, the gym, etc.) and move through life from a place of real regulation instead of constant tension.

Regulation

I guide your body out of that constant tight, guarded state. When you're always bracing, healing can't happen. I use simple breath work and movement to bring your nervous system back to normal.

Repatterning

I change how your body defaults under pressure. Instead of tension → core shutdown → pain, your body learns a new, stable response. That new response becomes your normal.

Story Work

I help you release what your body has been holding onto for years — stress, pressure, and past experiences. This final step makes the change stick for good.

How We Work Together In Practice

We work together through a structured & high-touch process for real change, not temporary relief. The journey begins with an initial 3-month container. It takes time to unwind decades of structural bracing and emotional patterning.
We meet for four 60-minute 1:1 Zoom sessions per month. Following the initial three months, the engagement transitions to a month-to-month basis with no binding contracts.
